Senior Services Needs
Your Support!

Our mission is to help seniors find solutions to everyday problems so they can live independently, in their own homes, for as long as possible.

Yet, few people think about us until they need us. Senior Services of Central Illinois has been providing non-medical services, such as Senior Transport, EAS (counseling), Daily Bread, Money Management, Title XX Counseling, Information & Assistance, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Comprehensive Care Management and Elder Abuse & Neglect Investigations and Programming to seniors in Central Illinois for over 40 years. And, each year brings an increase in the number of seniors who seek assistance with everyday problems. We help each person who comes to us for answers.

Although requests for services continue to grow, funding does not.
Won’t you support us?

Patron Support

The exceptional level of financial support from the State and Federal government and the City of Springfield demonstrates the priority public policymakers place on services for seniors. However, public funding only covers part of the total cost of programs and activities and provides no funding to endow the organization. An endowment is essential for the long-term financial stability of the organization. Interest earned on endowment funds will serve two purposes:
1.) it offsets the operating costs of SSCI and 2.) it also aids current and future programs by assuring that costs are kept at a manageable level.

Because Senior Services serves seniors in Sangamon, Logan, Menard and Mason counties, benefactors of Senior Services may be assured that their gifts are not only helping to support a vital resource in Central Illinois, but are also helping to support the varied programs and services that help people to remain active and independent. Donors may invest in Senior Services of Central Illinois through single contributions, or contributions made on a multi-year giving plan. You may also choose to leave a lasting legacy through one of the many naming opportunities available for the activity and office spaces.

Donate today... Senior Services of Central Illinois offers different ways for individuals to remember their loved ones. "In Memory Of" or "In Tribute To" allows one to honor a loved one or friend through a donation to the Senior Center. The amount of the gift is confidential. However, the gift is listed in the newsletter as a thank you to the donor and an announcement to the family of the person honored. It is a wonderful way to express sentiments of love and appreciation. "In Tribute To" is a way for friends and family to acknowledge a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion. Simply note on the check "In Memory Of" or "In Tribute To" when you send it to Senior Services.
